- Certain members of Piranha Bytes, the original developers of Gothic, have stated[1] that the events of ArcaniA: Fall of Setarrif are not considered canon towards the Gothic series. Now that the Gothic franchise is owned by THQ Nordic, the canonicity of ArcaniA: Fall of Setarrif remains unknown.
