Cheat codes in Gothic 3 is a page containing information about using cheat codes in Gothic 3.
Enabling developer console (cheat mode)
This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "ge3.ini".
The ge3.ini file is located in \Gothic 3\ini folder.
In default Steam installation, the path to the folder will be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gothic 3\ini
Look for the following entry in ge3.ini:
[Game]
TestMode=false
And change it to:
[Game]
TestMode=true
While playing the game, press ~ to display the console window. Note: Certain codes do not work if the game has been patched.
Community Patch
In community patch (game version 1.7x), press C to open character stats and skills screen and type marvin to enable the console.
