Monastery of Innos in Khorinis

The Monastery of Innos or Monastery of Fire is situated in the northern parts of the valley of Khorinis. It's mostly inhabited by novices of fire and mages of fire.

Age

The monastery is "ancient". It was built before the time of Rhobar I. according to the novices.

Rules

• The inhabitants of the Innos' monastery live by the commandments of Innos, the god of truth and justice. So they never lie or commit crimes.
• Novices are also encouraged to show respect and obidience towards the magicians.
• And it's the duty of the novices to do all the work in the monastery.

Description

• The Chapel is the largest building and stands in the center of the monastery.
• The Herb garden where the novices grow herbs for the mages is on the right side of the entrance.
• The Sheep pasture is on the opposite site; on the left of the entrance. Here they working with sheeps. They make mutton sausage, sheep milk and sheep cheese in the monastery.
• The Paladin chapel is in the left wing of the monastery.
• The Sleeping chambers are situated to the left and right of the chapel. Four for the novices and two larger and more luxurious ones for the magicians.
• Gorax' winery is next to the garden. The room in the right corner.
• The left corner room is the library

Basement

• First room to the left is the alchemy laboratory.
• The corridor to the right leeds to the Larder ...
• ... and the Treasury. Gorax is responsible for both of them.
• The last room on the left is the relic chamber which contains a shrine and two of the most valuable relics of the monastery.
• The last room is the library of the counsil. A mages guards it because no one is allowed to enter except the counsil says otherwise.

• Trough a secret door in the counsils library on can enter a secret vault deep under the monastery.
• The vault leeds to a secret library that Xardas once used to study.

Artifacts

The monastery guards at least three sacred items of their religion.

Eye of Innos

The most important was the Eye of Innos. Only few people knew where it was kept.

Shield of Fire

The Shield of Fire was nailed to the wall in the relic chamber. It was used by Lord Dominique on the southern isles.

Hammer of Innos

The Sacred Hammer was also kept in the relic chamber. It was used by Saint Rhobar to slay the "Stone Sentinal".
