Recipe of the Sect

Recipe of the Sect is an admission quest for the Old Camp in Gothic. The shadow Dexter asks the player to bring him a recipe of Cor Kalom from the Swamp Camp.

How to obtain the quest

Dexter is located at the marketplace of the Old Camp. After entering the Old Camp from the north gate, keep going right until you find a wide space full of people. He will automatically speak to you the first time you meet him.
When he offers you a job, you can keep asking for an upfront payment of 50 ore nuggets until he gives in. Otherwise you will get the same payment after completion.

How to solve the quest

Dexter sends you to the Swamp Camp and also offers you a map of the colony, which he has for sale. If you want, you can buy the map with the upfront payment, but it is not necessary.
Before going to the Swamp Camp you should have at least one picklock as you cannot buy any there.
Near Dexter you should find a member of the Swamp Camp called Baal Parvez. Ask him about the right path and let him lead you to the Swamp Camp. He will kill all the monsters on the way for you.
At the entrance of the Swamp Camp you find Lester. He can lead you to the alchemy lab, where you will find Cor Kalom.
In his lab there are two chests. Using a picklock open the left chest with the combination RRLR and take the recipe.
Now return to the Old Camp and give it to Dexter.

Rewards

Upon delivery of the recipe you receive 350 experience points and 5 points towards Admission to the Old Camp.
You also receive 50 ore nuggets either upfront or upon delivery depending on your choice.

Diary entries

• Dexter, the Shadow at the market, told me to go to the Guru Kalom in the Sect Camp to get a recipe for him.
