Scatty runs the arena of the Old Camp.
Gothic
As the one running the arena Scatty is in charge of tasks like organizing the bets and hiring new fighters. He allows people from other camps to fight in the arena, although he detests the members of the New Camp, because it leads to more bets, which is good for business. Many people owe him ore making him one of the most influential people in the outer ring. Fletcher is up to his neck in debt to Scatty.
Scatty tasks the Nameless Hero with fighting the other arena fighters to get his approval to join the Old Camp. If he is defeated by Kirgo, Scatty is disappointed and actually speaks against him joining the camp. If he does defeat Kirgo, Scatty is impressed. If the Hero challenges Kharim to a fight, Scatty will be impressed of his courage even if he loses, while a victory will make heap praise upon him.
Scatty teaches one-handed combat for 50 ore and 10 skill points for the first level and 150 ore and 20 skill points for the second level.

Trivia
- Scatty's guild is a complicated matter. Internally his guild is set to Guard, he has a crossbow equipped instead of a bow and he has a level higher than any Shadow besides Diego. But he wears a Shadow's armor and his administrative role is also more aligned with the role of a Shadow.
- There is a cut dialogue, in which the Hero says he wants to fight in the arena and Scatty answers that he will only let him fight once he has chosen a camp as nobody wants to see an independent fighter.
- A nameless Paladin guarding the Esmeralda has his face in Gothic II.
