Alkimia Interactive is a Spanish video game development studio based in Barcelona. It is currently developing the Gothic Remake. It is part of THQ Nordic.
History
A team of 7 people began work on a medieval RPG in late 2018 or early 2019 for THQ Nordic.[1]
THQ Nordic acquired the rights to Gothic on May 22, 2019.
On December 13, 2019 the Gothic Playable Teaser was published with the studio being named THQ Nordic Barcelona.
On February 19, 2020 the Gothic Remake was announced.
On March 11, 2021 the studio was renamed to the current Alkimia Interactive.[2]
