Torrez is a fire mage of the Old Camp.
Background
Torrez was one of the magicians who created the Barrier spanning the Valley of Mines. Due to the influence of the Sleeper the creation of the Barrier went out of control and ended up trapping him inside it. At that time the prisoner Gomez started a rebellion against the guards. According to Xardas Corristo and the other magicians helped Gomez taking power over what would later be called the Old Camp.[1] After the success of the rebellion the magicians took up residence in the chapel of the castle.
Gothic
Torrez spends most of the day talking to Rodriguez in front of the chapel of the castle in the Old Camp. He sells magical items and teaches how to increase magical power.
When the Nameless Hero delivers the Letter to the Magicians of Fire, he is sent to Torrez to collect his reward.
If the Nameless Hero becomes a fire mage, Torrez gifts him the book The First Circle of Magic.
After the collapse of the Old Mine Gomez orders an attack on the Free Mine to preserve the flow of magicial ore. Corristo forbids him this attack, which causes Gomez to lose trust in him. As a result Gomez has him and the other fire mages in the Old Camp executed.[2]
Torrez sells runes, spell scrolls, potions and books about magic, and teaches mana.
Reward
- Torrez gives the reward for delivering the letter to Milten:
- If you opened the letter and insisted on getting your reward first, the reward is an Elixir of Healing.
- If you insisted on getting your reward first, but didn't open the letter, you receive a Ring of Strength.
- If you delivered the letter to Milten, you can choose between a Ring of Strength, a Ring of Dexterity, 3 spell scrolls (Transform into Scavenger, Fireball, Chain Lightning) or an Essence of the Spirit.
